Blood drive in honor of former Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers Executive Director

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – There’s a blood drive coming up on Monday, June 29th in honor of the former Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers Executive Director Lamar Moore.

It’s co-sponsored by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and the Chattanooga Police Department.

It’s also part of Blood Assurance’s Hero Week.

Moore was a long time Blood Assurance donor and supporter.

Blood Assurance officials say he donated an average of 24 times a year with more than 50 gallons of blood given during his lifetime!

The blood drive will be in front of the Courts Building on 600 Market Street from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Blood Mobile.

You’ll get a free snack, T-shirt, and a chance to win a new gas grille for donating.

If you can’t make it then, you can donate in Moore’s name any time during that week at Blood Assurance.
