Bloodhound Commended for Locating Missing Man
DUNLAP, Tenn. — The Dunlap Police Department is expressing their appreciation to the Rhea County Sheriff’s Department and Jesse the bloodhound for their assistance in helping to locate 78-year-old Norman Hobbs, who was missing.
They say in less than 30 minutes of entering a large wooded area, they found Mr. Hobbs who was lost and incapacitated.
Hobbs was transported to Erlanger for hypothermia and dehydration.
He is expected to be ok, the Dunlap Police Department says.
They say also assisting in the search were several officers of the Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Department and EMA Director Winfred Smith who utilized the newly acquired drone for an aerial search.
