BlueCare Tennessee and local churches hold Holiday Faith and Health Fest

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — It’s hard to be healthy over the holidays, but some area organizations want to help make it happen.

BlueCare Tennessee teamed up with area church leaders to host a Holiday Faith and Health Fest today.

Dozens of vendors were on-hand, offering flu shots, various health screenings, and health discussions.

Attendees could also meet Santa Claus, and take holiday pictures.

Organizers say they want to improve residents’ quality of life.

“Getting out into the community and just gaining the knowledge that there are people in the community that really want them to be healthy and happy is probably the biggest benefit,” says Ronda Roper with BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee.

This is the first Holiday Faith and Health Fest, but organizers hope to have more in the future.
