Books From Birth Foundation
The Governor is teaming up with Amazon to make sure young children are reading.
Amazon is a partner with the Governor’s "Books From Birth Foundation."
They teamed up to promote Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Program.
That program provides free books to children in all 95 counties in Tennessee.
Theresa Carl is the President of the Governor’s "Books From Birth Foundation."
"You’re eligible if you are between birth and age 5, that is the only eligibility requirement, and parents can sign up their child and they get 1 free book per month mailed to them directly to their home."
Studies show reading improves a child’s vocabulary, and their work at school.
