Boys and Girls Club gets $30,000 grant from Spectrum

CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) – Boys and Girls Clubs in Tennessee received a $30,000 grant from Spectrum Digital Education Grant.

$6,000 of the $30,000 check was presented at the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Ocoee Region.

The grant will fund the boys and girls digital connect program which Denyse Debusk said will aid in purchasing two V-R headsets to aid in career choices.

“One of them will be able to train a youth and career exploration. One of them will be a sample that the kids will be able to kind of get a taste of each of the careers while the other transfers them to give them full access to explore (careers.)”

The Ocoee region Boy and Girls club was one of five Tennessee clubs to receive the grant.
