Bradley Central Girls Win Ugly in State Tournament Against Lebanon

The Bradley Central girls basketball team struggled to score against Lebanon, but they delivered just enough points to win 34-26 in the quarterfinal round of the state tournament on Thursday in Murfreesboro. The Bearettes didn’t score their first basket until ten seconds were left to play in the first quarter. Bradley Central had just three field goals in the first two quarters as they trailed 10-9 at halftime. With just over a minute to go in the third quarter, the Bearettes Anna Walker made a tough bank shot in the lane to put Bradley Central up 23-21. The Bearettes then sealed the victory in the fourth quarter at the foul line, where they hit 9 of 12 free throws. Bradley Central shot just 26-percent for the game. Jamaryn Blair led the Bearettes with nine points. Bradley Central plays Oak Ridge in the semifinals at 3:45est on Friday.
