Bradley County Commission Law Enforcement Committee discusses ways to make Bradley County safer

Cleveland, TN (WDEF)  – The Bradley County Commission’s Law Enforcement Committee discussed ways to make Bradley County safer Monday.
Some of the hot topics included ways to address dog attacks in the county.
Another topic up for discussion today was the recent fatal car wreck involving a 17-year-old recent Bradley Central graduate and logging truck.
County officials hope to lower the speed limit on North Lee Highway where the fatal wreck occurred.
Bradley County Sheriff Eric Watson explained, "What I recommended was, for us to join into a joint effort and pass a resolution and send it to the state of Tennessee and let them do a traffic study on north Lee Highway, possibly a reduction of the speed, more directed patrol by the state, also truck inspections that’s performed by the Tennessee Highway Patrol on these logging trucks."
Monday’s meeting took place at the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office.
