Bradley County deputies charged man with picking up goods at a home construction site
CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) – Bradley County investigators charge a suspect with theft from a construction site.
Deputies were called to the 100 block of Keystone Drive for a theft in progress where a house was under construction.
They found Ralph Lee Nelms getting into a pickup.
He told them he was picking up scrapwood around the site.
But the builder claims Nelms was never given permission to come on the property.
Deputies say they found 9 boxes of floor tile, 2 packages of anchor bolts, 3 bags of mortar, 3 bags of grout and four rolls of flashing tape, all in his truck.
Nelms has been charged with Theft over five hundred dollars.
