Brainerd Finishes Strong to Beat CAK in the State Tournament

Brainerd used a strong finish to beat CAK 72-56 in the quarterfinals of the state basketball tournament in Murfreesboro.
The Panthers led 33-24 at the half, and they out-scored the Warriors 25-14 in the 4th quarter to seal the victory.
Brainerd’s defense was the difference as they racked up 13 steals. They also held CAK to 31-percent shooting for the game.
Da’Juonta Ross led the Panthers with 22 points. Teammates Kentrell Evans and Jesse Walker each had 14 points.
Brainerd will now play Whites Creek at 7pm est on Friday in the semifinals.
