Brent Marsh Apologizes to Community

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Ray Brent Marsh, who was released after serving 12 years in prison, has released an apology to the community.

Marsh pleaded guilty in 2004 to various charges, including theft by deception and abusing a corpse after the bodies of 339 people were found scattered across his crematory property in Noble, Georgia.

Part of Marsh’s probation states that he must write a hand written letter to each family that was affected by his crimes, in addition to the community itself.

In his apology, Marsh says “I can assure everyone that my life and deeds will not only prove the sincerity of my words, but my desire to lead a life that is worthy of this community.”
