Bridgeport man charged after taking a shot at a police officer

Bridgeport, Alabama (WDEF) – A domestic abuse suspect exchanged gunfire with police over the weekend in Bridgeport, Alabama.

Neither the suspect of the officer were hit by the gunfire.

Jackson County investigators report that 63-year old terry Ray Burnor ran back into the house, followed by a Bridgeport officer.

They say when he ran back out again, he fired a shot at the officer, but missed him.

The officer returned fire, also missing.

But that was enough to take him into custody.

Burnor has been charged with Attempted Murder, Menacing, Assault and Making a Terroristic Threat.
