Business at Gun Shops is Up After Chattanooga Terrorist Shooting

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WDEF-TV) – Last week’s events are sending more people to gun shops for weapons and permits.
That same pattern occurred after 9-11 and other national emergencies.
But this one was personal– since it happened close to home.
Richard Manning of Carter’s Shooting supplies says his customers are aware the threat is not always a world away—-that it could be right next door.

"..front line, as far as war….there’s no, ‘hey,we’re going here’. Just like that guy, you know he was in two places in less than 15 minutes and shot up both places and you know,if it wasn’t for our police department …their reaction as quick as they did..I mean, I don’t know how many rounds he had ..they haven’t released it yet..but he could have killed 2..300 people or more."

Manning says A-T-F agents scheduled a visit to his gun shop but cancelled without explanation.
