Butch Jones Expects to Name Vols Starting QB by End of the Week

The Vols went under the lights to practice at Neyland Stadium on Wednesday.
But head coach Butch Jones wasn’t happy with the effort.
He says the intensity simply wasn’t there.
While Jones was disappointed, he says he’s moving quickly to name his starting quarterback.
"I’m hoping maybe in the next day or two we’ll make that decision. I think it’s important for our football team in moving forward that they know who the starting quarterback is. I’ve been pleased with all three individuals lately. They’ve done a very good job of handling the volume of the offense that we have in. We’ve charted every single throw every quarterback has made in practice. We’re getting very short to naming a quarterback. Very soon will name a starter."
