Can you help find car burglary suspect in Hamilton County?

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies hope you can help find the man officers say burglarized a car and then hit three pedestrians.

It all started 3:30 pm Monday afternoon. A man coming out of the Country Side Restaurant on Mahan Gap Road told officers his car was broken into, and the suspect fled the area.

Deputies say the victim followed the suspect who deputies identified as 39-year-old James Robin Roddy until he lost sight of the vehicle, but then found it parked at the Highway 58 Mart.

Officers say the victim approached Roddy, and a physical altercation took place.

Deputies say Roddy backed his truck in reverse striking three pedestrians, including the victim and his wife, in an attempt to get away.

They were all treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.
