Captain of the McCaysville Police Department was critically injured
MCCAYSVILLE, Ga. (WDEF) – On Saturday night, September 12, 2025, around 11:10 p.m., Captain Brantley Worley of the McCaysville Police Department was critically injured in the line of duty while responding to a call for service.
According to the McCaysville Police Department, the suspect in this case has been identified as Timothy Craig Ramsey, a 26-year-old white male, 5’11”, weighing approximately 185 pounds, with long hair and blue eyes.
Ramsey was last seen on foot in the area of 1st Street in McCaysville, Georgia, wearing a green top, dark-colored bottoms, and a dark motorcycle helmet.
He is wanted on charges of Aggravated Assault with intent to murder a police officer.
This subject is considered armed and extremely dangerous.
We strongly urge the public not to approach him.
