Car crashes into computer store in Fort Oglethorpe

FORT OGLETHORPE, Georgia (WDEF) – A Fort Oglethope driver slammed into the front of a computer store in Battlewood Plaza this afternoon.

No one was injured, but the store will need major repairs.

The driver said she hit the accelerator instead of the brakes and the car leaped forward through the wall.

Fort Oglethorpe city manager Ron Goulart owns the building.

“Because it involves structural and interior damage, we will temporarily secure the structure, and then the owner will secure their personal belongings, but ultimately it will be up to the owner.”

The other stores in that mall were not damaged.
