CBS Announcers Jim Nantz and Grant Hill Break Down Mocs vs Indiana

Veteran CBS announcer Jim Nantz has seen plenty of March Madness, while CBS analyst Grant Hill has lived March Madness as a former Duke Blue Devil. They’ll be calling the Mocs NCAA tournament game Thursday against Indiana. They gave us sneak preview after sitting down with News 12 Now’s Jamal Williams.

Said Nantz-“Anything is possible”

Added Hill-“I think every team has a shot. I really do”

It is March, and we all know anything can happen in March. That’s why we call it madness, and the madness all starts tomorrow with the Mocs in a prime time slot

Said Nantz-“You know that first day, more than the second day, and more than the Friday. It just seems like in history, the Thursday brings out the big upset special ”

Indiana versus Chattanooga, the 5 seed versus the 12 seed, but you shouldn’t get caught up in the numbers or the names because it all comes down to the court.

Said Hill-“UTC will have their hands full. Indiana is a very talented team.”

Said Nantz-“They are a very dangerous team. That is a team that when you start looking at Cinderella stories, teams that come in and upset someone in the tournament, they have kind of the blue print ”

Since we are talking blue prints there are some things that will have to go right for he Mocs to pull this off.

Said Hill-“Transition defense will be vital and important. Greg Pryor is going to have to I think play well on both ends of the floor. He is going to have it make Ferrell work.”
