CCS Announces Five Finalists for Director of Schools

Cleveland, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Cleveland City Schools Board of Education has announced the five finalists for the Director of Schools position.

The Board of Education Interview Sessions will be held each day from 6:00-8:00 pm at Mayfield Elementary School at 501 20^th Street NE, Cleveland.

The Candidates are as followed:

• Wednesday, May 4 – Dr. John Ash, Principal of Central Magnet School in Murfreesboro
• Thursday, May 5 – Dr. Sharon Harper, TN Department of Education, Executive Director of Southeast CORE
• Monday, May 9 – Dr. Russell Dyer, Chief of Staff, Collierville Schools
• Tuesday, May 10 – Dr. Elizabeth Alves, Assistant Superintendent/Chief Academic Officer, Knox County Schools
• Wednesday, May 11 – Dr. Daniel Brigman, Superintendent of Schools, Catawba County Schools, Newton, NC
