Celebrate the arts with ArtsWeek!
James McKissic of ArtsBuild and Charlotte Caldwell of Stoveworks join News 12’s Amelia Greer to talk about the fun filled celebration of Chattanooga arts for ArtsWeek!
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga’s ArtsWeek is here with plenty of fun events all week long to celebrate our local arts!
Created by ArtsBuild, over 60 events are happening now through April 27 that celebrates how art adds to the quality of life in the Scenic City and boost our economy. The arts community brought in almost $200 million to the economy and employs thousands which is why the arts are being celebrated and promoted with an eventful week.
On Saturday, April 26 from 12 – 6 P.M., Stoveworks will be hosting a country fair themed Philanthrop event which brings over 30 arts organizations and artists booths to showcase their work.
In addition, ArtsBuild is hosting their Periscope Pitch Night and Entrepreneur Showcase on May 7 which will have 16 artists learning business skills and later pitching their creative business for a grand cash prize.
