Central Falls 52-49 to Fulton in State Quarterfinals
The Central Purple Pounders saw their season come to an end on Thursday as they lost to Fulton 52-49 in the quarterfinals of the state tournament in Murfreesboro. Central raced out to a 10-0 lead but the Falcons managed to tie the game at 22 at halftime.
The game was tied at 48 with 1:10 to play. And then with Fulton up 50-49 with ten seconds left, Kentel Williams hit two free throws.
Fulton then blocked a potential three-point tieing shot at the buzzer.
Tre Davis led Fulton with 23 points, while Ryan Montgomery led Central with 19-points. Teammate Curtis McClendon added 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Central ends their season with a 20-7 record.
