CFC Preparing For Home Opener in U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday

Chattanooga-(WDEF) The CFC soccer team opened their season over the weekend with a 6-0 win over Georgia.

Now the Chattanooga soccer club is gearing up for their home opener Wednesday night in the U-S Open Cup, the oldest soccer tournament in America.
The CFC will take on the Ocala Stampede at 7:30 at Finley Stadium.
Last year was dynamite for the CFC, they advanced all the way to the NPSL national title game.
But head coach Bill Elliott says this year’s team will have to replace a few talented players.
"A number of different kids graduated from college and moved on. Started out good last weekend at Georgia Revolution with a 6-0 win. But I think there’s a lot tougher tests ahead of us."
