CFD responds to hotel fire

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Sunday night the Chattanooga Fire Department (CFD) responded to a hotel fire and had to act quickly in order to stop it.

Around 8:52, firefighters responded to the DoubleTree at 407 Chestnut Street.

According to CFD, upon arrival, crews saw fire showing from an 8th floor window.

A second and third alarm was struck due to it being a hotel with multiple occupants.

The fire was put out in 15 minutes.

Multiple tarps were placed to help salvage belongings.

There were no injuries.

According to CFD, officials on the scene say the fire was caused by a wall heater.
