Channing Wilson organizes LaFayette ‘Songs for the Band’ concert
LAFAYETTE, Ga. (WDEF) — LaFayette High School is hosting a “Songs for the Band” benefit concert on Wednesday, March 20.
This is the second year that LaFayette’s Rambler Band has hosted this event. It was organized by singer-songwriter, and LaFayette-native, Channing Wilson.
The show will begin at 7 p.m. To start, LHS student singer-songwriters Luke and Levi Hopkins, Laik and Laney Rayburn and Mason Thompson will be performing.
You can purchase tickets for the concert here.
In 2023, the benefit concert raised $6,500. The money was used to buy large brass instruments for the band.
This year, all proceeds will go toward the purchase of big percussion instruments.
Channing Wilson recently performed at the Grand Ole Opry and has written hits for several country artists.
Wilson will be performing at the concert, alongside Rob Snyder and Jonathan Singleton.
Snyder is a singer-songwriter who has written songs for Luke Combs. Singleton has written several number one songs for Lainey Wilson, Luke Combs, Gary Alan, Tim McGraw, Josh Turner and more.
