More charges against the Dade County chase suspect

FORT PAYNE, Alabama (WDEF) – Authorities have added more charges against the suspect in the high speed chase that seriously injured a Dade County officer.

Police in Fort Payne says she stole an air compressor, which began the chase that ended in Trenton.

Lora Leeanne Wooten faces 21 charges in Georgia.

Now Fort Payne has a list of their own.

Third Degree Burglary, 5 counts of Attempted Assault on a Police Officer, Attempted to Elude Law Enforcement, Tampering with Evidence, Reckless Endangerment, several traffic violations and Criminal Littering.

A week after the chase, Major Tommy Bradford, is looking at moving to Siskin for rehab.

His wife reports he still faces surgery on a finger and shoulder.

He also is thankful for all the photos of people in Trenton, wearing blue to support him.

The Dade County schools asked students, staff and faculty to wear blue today in classrooms.
