Chattanooga State art party brings awareness to substance abuse

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- Chattanooga State hosted a Vision Board and Art Party Wednesday. 

The event was put on by Chatt State’s Access and Disability Services. 

Chatt State used this party to combat Substance Abuse Through Creativity. 

Guest speakers also shared information about making wise choices around addictive substances. 

 “We want to provide care and caring for students beyond their time at Chatt State,” said Dr. Kristi Strode, Director of Access and Disability Center. “So, they can understand that being wise about substance in the future can be tied to what their goal attainment will be in the future.” 

The Coalition for Healthy and Safe Campus Communities help fund the event for Chatt State.
