Chattahooligans Ponder Future of CFC Team

Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) What’s the future of the CFC and soccer in Chattanooga?
No one seems to know right now. CFC general manager Sean McDaniel resigned last week amid reports an investor is trying to bring a USL pro team to town. The CFC fan base known as the Chattahooligans gathered Tuesday evening at MMBC Brewery along with a few CFC players. They’re all wondering what will happen to the current amateur CFC franchise. There are simply more questions than answers at the moment. Said Chattahooligan Ryan Lycan:”It was a little weird to hear that they’re just going to have a new franchise come in and just kind of disrupt what we have built up over the last ten years. It was kind of a shock, but we’re kind of just seeing what happens from it.”
Said CFC player Felipe Oliveira:”It’s something that us players, especially don’t get involved in. It’s out of our control. So we are all just waiting to see what other news is going to come out. Hopefully among all of the guys that are dealing with that, they’ll figure it out and things will come together.”
Said Chattahooligan Dominic Norman:”Hopefully it all works out in the end, and they figure something out and it’s best for the city. That’s really what everyone wants is what’s best for Chattanooga and the city in general.”
