Chattanooga Adds Baylor Kicker Victor Ulmo to Football Roster

(GoMocs.com) The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team added kicker Victor Ulmo to the 2016 recruiting class, head coach Russ Huesman announced today. Like the Mocs starting kicker Henrique Ribeiro, Ulmo is a native of Sao Palo, Brazil, who prepped at Chattanooga’s Baylor School.

“We are excited to welcome Victor to the team,” stated Huesman. “We have had a lot of success with specialists from Baylor and Victor is no exception. He is an excellent kicker and a great addition to our program.”

Last year, the Mocs’ long snapper (Emory Norred), holder (Jacob Huesman) and kicker (Ribeiro) were all Baylor grads. Ribeiro is a two-time first-team All-Southern Conference kicker and is back for his senior season in 2016. UTC’s punter is also a Baylor grad, redshirt freshman Colin Brewer.

Ulmo (5-8, 180) was the Division II-AA East/Middle Special Teams Player of the Year after going 8-11 on field goals as a senior. He was also 42-42 on PATs and had an 82% touchback rate on kickoffs. He spent the last two years at Baylor and was the defensive MVP as a centerback for the soccer team. He plans to major in Business at UTC.
