Chattanooga cold weather shelters set record for number of people

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Many people are seeking shelter from the cold on Tuesday evening.

The Salvation Army is at capacity with its cold weather shelter at 60 people.

The Community Kitchen has 108 people so far in the cold weather shelter.

That’s the most the two agencies have ever had so far.

More are at the Chattanooga Rescue Mission as well, according to Salvation Army officials.
