Chattanooga Declares January 23–31 as Color Chattanooga Pink! Week

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF)-A splash of pink is taking over Chattanooga this week as the community comes together to raise awareness for breast health.

Representatives from the City of Chattanooga and Hamilton County mayor’s offices gathered today to issue a joint proclamation declaring January 23rd through 31st as Color Chattanooga Pink! Week.

Local businesses, including Scenic Suds Car Wash Express, are stepping up as sponsors to help shine a spotlight on the cause.

“So we’re very fortunate Scenic Suds is going to be our title sponsor this year for Color Chattanooga Pink Week,” said Katie Sneed, co-chair of the event. “We wanted to be here today, of course, putting the mobile coach out—you can pop in, get a mammogram, go through the car wash as well. But yes, the purpose of Color Chattanooga Pink Week is to advocate for the arm of the breast center.”

Events and activities throughout the week aim to engage the community and promote early detection and breast health awareness.
