Chattanooga Downtown Library Hosts Fun-Filled Day of Crafting

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Downtown Library was alive with creativity on Saturday as fiber artists, crafters, and makers gathered for a day of hands-on activities. Visitors enjoyed interactive stations offering lessons in weaving, quilting, crochet, and more.

Richard Groves, a spokesperson for the Chattanooga Public Library, shared his excitement about the event. “Video is one of the most exciting things we have on the fourth floor,” Groves said. “We’ve got sewing and embroidery machines, and many people are using them for side hustles. It’s a great way to get started and try a new craft.”

The library’s fourth floor was buzzing with activity, providing a vibrant space for the community to explore new creative skills. The event highlighted Chattanooga’s growing maker movement and the library’s commitment to supporting lifelong learning.
