Chattanooga FC Get Late Explosion of Goals to Beat Quinto Elemento 6-2 in Steinbrecher Cup

(Chattanoogafc.com) The Chattanooga FC advance to the Championship match vs. the Chicago Fire Saturday to compete for the Hank Steinbrecher Cup–crowning the best amateur team in the United States. The Fire advanced following a convincing 6-1 win over Westchester United in the first match of the tournament. Chattanooga faced Quinto Elemento in the second match of the night, and came away with a 6-2 victory in a very spirited match against the Kansas squad marked by beautiful play from the CFC squad.

The Chattanooga FC displayed its depth with six goals from five different players. Will Roberts (8’), Jon Finlay (35’), a pair of goals by Luke Winter (84’ and 88’), Juan Hernandez (88’), and a score by Samuel Goni at the 90’ mark as the match turned over into stoppage time.

The consolation match between Quinto Elemento and Westchester United will kick off at 5:00, Saturday, May 28.
