Chattanooga Fire Department celebrates this year’s Fire Prevention Week poster contest winners

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Fire Department honored its Fire Prevention Week poster contest winners Monday morning.
The winning K-12 students won Walmart gift cards.
This year’s theme was "Hear the Beep where you sleep."
Boyd-Buchanan 10th grade student Mackenna Hood was this year’s grand prize winner.
William Matlock works as the Chattanooga Fire Marshal.  He said, "We had entries from every school throughout the city and the quality of the posters were amazing.  They really listened this year and took to heart the theme and displayed it on paper and it pretty much showed up so we’re excited about what we have to present to the state."
The winning posters will now be judged at the state level.
