Chattanooga Firefighter Injured Responding to Commercial Fire on 4th Ave

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF): A firefighter was injured and taken to the hospital after Chattanooga Fire Department knocked out a commercial building fire early this morning.
The injured firefighter has since been treated and released from the hospital.
CFD responded to a reported commercial fire just after 12:30 a.m. at a former business located in the 2600 block of 4th avenue.
Part of the building collapsed on one of the firefighters.
Other firefighters were able to get him out quickly and he was immediately taken over to Hamilton County EMS personnel on the scene.
Members of the Chattanooga Fire Department continued fighting the fire and it took approximately 30 minutes to knock THE FIRE down.
The building was destroyed AND THE CAUSE IS UNDER INVESTIGATION.
