Chattanooga firefighter put on leave following weekend DUI arrest

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Fire Department has put a firefighter on leave without pay after his arrest over the weekend.

43 year old Jerry Ralph Lee was charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving a parked vehicle early Saturday, along with DUI.

Spokesman Bruce Garner says Lee had already been demoted for a reckless driving conviction in January of 2016.

The department place him on administrative leave following the arrest, and upped that to Leave Without Pay when administrators got the arrest report.
