Chattanooga firefighters called out to fire in East Lake

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga firefighters get called out to a fire in East Lake on Friday night.

The call came in just before 9 PM to a home in the 39-hundred block of 6th Avenue.

Captain McMillian with Engine 9 was first on the scene, and reported a fire showing from a room at the rear corner of the structure.

All of the residents got out safely.

Firefighters made a quick interior attack to bring the fire under control.

No injuries were reported and there was damage to the interior of the house.
