CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee (WDEF)- The Chattanooga Area Food Bank hosted its 6th annual agency conference today.

The theme of this years conference was feed, lead strengthen.

The Chattanooga Area Food Bank uses the annual conference to grow with the agencies that they are partnered with throughout 9 counties in Georgia and 11 counties in Tennessee.

Sadie Crunk who works for the Chattanooga Food Bank says, “We serve those people, so about 25,000 people every week and these agency partners help us do that. And we just want to make sure that they continue to do that work so that we never have a problem where we can’t meet the need.”

The Dalton City of Refuge CEO, Pamela Cudd, hopes that this conference is not only used as a great time to fellowship but also a time to remember not to burn yourself out as a volunteer.

Cudd says, “It’s been a great opportunity to actually be here with like minded people who have a heart and a compassion to serve others and to be able to take what we’ve learned and our experiences and our challenges and be able to share that with them today.”

As a member of Feeding America, the Chattanooga Area Food Bank wants to make sure that all 300 agencies are able to come up with solutions to help end hunger and maintain and grow as volunteers.
