Chattanooga Heroes Run/Walk

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – In a month, the Chattanooga Heroes Run will bring thousands of people together to remember those who lost their lives on July 16th and to honor the hundreds of 1st responders who worked to protect our city.

“Sullivan, Wyatt, Holmquest, Wells, Smith”

The names of the 5 service men that lost their lives during the July 16th shooting will be ones remembered here in Scenic City…. The Chattanooga Heros Run Walk will be one of many events over the next month to remember the fallen service men as the city heals but doesn’t forget.

The event begins at the Naval Operation Support Center on Amnicola Highway.

It will follow parts of the path that E-M-S responders took last July.

The families of all 5 fallen service men have decided to use the proceeds from the event to fund the construction of a permanent memorial at Tennessee River Park.

The Chattanooga Heroes Run Walk will take place on July 16th and will start at 8 am on Amnicola Highway at the Naval Operational Support Center.
