Chattanooga hosts 16th annual CultureFest
Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – The First Tennessee Pavilion is bursting with culture today for the 16th annual CultureFest. Chattanooga State’s International Community outreach office in partnership with several other local organizations host the event every year.
CultureFest offers a variety of food, activities and entertainment, including live performances from local groups. And Gladys Pineda-Loher, international community outreach director, said it’s the community’s largest annual celebration of different cultures.
"This is a great opportunity for them to learn about the other cultures, generate understanding, create global awareness, expand the global mindset and just promote diversity in general," said Pineda-Loher.
Thousands flocked to the pavilion to enjoy CultureFest, and Mayor Andy Burke even stopped by to show support.
