Chattanooga Hosts 76th Armed Forces Parade

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga is getting ready to roll out the red, white, and blue as the city prepares to host the 2025 Armed Forces Parade and Luncheon this Friday.

Now in its 76th year, Chattanooga’s Armed Forces Parade is the longest continuously running event of its kind in the nation.

The parade kicks off at 10:30 a.m. at MLK and Market Streets, followed by the Armed Forces Luncheon at noon at the Chattanooga Convention Center.

Formed in 2019, the Space Force is the newest branch of the military focused on defending U.S. interests in space, from satellite defense to global communications.

2025 will mark history as the United States Space Force will be honored for the very first time.

This year’s keynote speaker is General B. Chance Saltzman, the Chief of Space Operations and the highest-ranking officer in the U.S Space Force.

The event is organized by the Chattanooga Area Veterans Council, which has supported local veterans and their families since 1983.

A proud tradition continues in Chattanooga, as we celebrate our military and honor a new chapter in history with the U.S. Space Force leading the way.
