Chattanooga Ironman 70.3 bringing families closer together
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – “I love Chattanooga. It is my favorite city in the whole wide world, and I love this course,” said one IRONMAN participant.
The reviews are in. People love the Chattanooga 70.3 Ironman with over 3, 500 people participating. For some, it’s the beauty that the course provides.
“The course is amazing. The riding in, in North Georgia, looking over and see and Lookout Mountain and the people, the food is amazing here,” one participant stated.
“You know, fat boy here loves some food for others. It’s a way to keep the family connected. I did it with my dad who’s just turned 60. He wanted to do the full 70.3, and actually, my wife and her dad, we did the relay together, so it’s kind of a whole family affair,” one participant explained.
Ferguson’s dad, Tim, went to UTC and has been bringing his kids back to the area since Ryan was 14.
“We’ve been coming up here every year to bike up the mountains and go around and stuff, so it was fun to just do it in this kind of setting, in this atmosphere and just enjoy the day,” an IRONMAN participant stated.
