EPB and Chattanooga City Officials released statements Friday.
It comes after some of their employee email addresses were revealed to be registered on the site.
Both organizations confirmed HR teams are investigating the employees who used work emails to sign up.
"Importance of social media to the field is truly unbelievable, it has become the single richest form of evidence in divorce cases, usually we are talking about Facebook, Twitter and Instagram".
Divorce Lawyer Randall Larramore is not surprised by the Ashley Madison leak and warns what we do in cyber space can often never be deleted.
"For the first time the nuances of our life are documented in real time and are there for ever, if you go back a decadea and a half ago people did not tweet where they had lunch".
Marriage counselors believe many families will now be put in an awkward position.
"Websites like AshleyMadison or other internet, social media sites, it’s quick, easy, it feels anonymous and so people don’t really see it being a wrong immediately right at the beginning".
