Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke discusses July 16, 2016 events during News12 This Morning

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A week from this Saturday marks the one year anniversary of the darkest day in Chattanooga’s recent memory.

The city has a full day of events planned to remember the fallen five servicemen on the one year anniversary of the day a homegrown jihadist shot up a military recruiting center on Lee Highway and then the Tennessee Naval Reserve Center on Amnicola Highway.

Mayor Andy Berke discussed the full day of activities today on News12 This Morning.

He said, “We hope people will join us, we think that this is a really important day in Chattanooga’s history, and we want to honor the heroes that lost their lives that day and their families, and make sure that we do this event as Chattanooga should.”
