Chattanooga Police investigate reports of bank robbery, bomb threat at Chattanooga area credit union

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police confirm Wednesday afternoon officers responded to the Southeast Federal Credit Union on National Avenue in Chattanooga.

The call to the credit union at 512 National Ave. was of an attempted robbery and bomb threat.

Through the Police Department’s Twitter page, Chattanooga PD said drivers should expect road blocks in that area.

Officers suggest drivers find an alternate route.

National Avenue runs between Bailey Avenue and McCallie Avenue.

The road runs between the Chattanooga National Cemetery to the south and Warner Park to the north.
