Chattanooga Police investigate Tuesday evening stabbing

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Police Department is investigating after a stabbing victim turned up at a local hospital.

The Chattanooga Police Department was notified by the hospital that the female victim had two stab wounds.

Police department officials say the victim told police she and another female got into an altercation on Woodside Street.

The woman was stabbed twice during the fight.

Once in the neck and a second time in the shoulder.

Hospital officials consider her injuries to be non-life-threatening.
