Chattanooga Police Officer Suspended After Officer Involved Shooting

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) Chattanooga Police officials say Officer Alex Olson has been suspended for 30 days without pay after an officer involved shooting.

Officials say Officer Olson tried to make a traffic stop on Windsor Court in October.

The suspect tried to flee and rammed the officer’s car.

Officer Olson fired at the car, but no one was hurt.

After an Internal Affairs Investigation, Police Chief Fred Fletcher found improper use of force and discharge of firearm on Officer Olson’s part.
