Chattanooga Police Ramp Up Search for Shooter in August 15th Rossville Boulevard Incident
Chattanooga police are intensifying their search for a suspect in a deadly shooting that left 61-year-old Eugene Carson critically injured.
The incident occurred the morning of August 15th at 4:24 am in the 3700 block of Rossville Boulevard.
Authorities say Carson was stopped at an intersection when a gunman in a gray Kia Sportage opened fire on his truck. The vehicle is believed to be a model from 2017 to 2022 and features dark-colored wheels.
“Eugene was a really great guy; he was a family man. He was the type of person that felt like there was good in everyone” said the brother of Eugene Carson.
Police are exploring the possibility that the suspect might be a Georgia resident or someone who frequently travels between Chattanooga and Georgia.
