UPDATE: Chattanooga’s latest shooting victim dies Tuesday evening
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – UPDATE: Chattanooga Police confirm Tuesday night 26-year-old Orlando Gay succumbed to his injuries.
Police report they have detained one person of interest in the shooting.
Original story: Chattanooga Police responded to the city’s latest shooting Tuesday evening.
It left a 26-year-old man in critical condition.
Officers responded to the 4900 block of Jeffery Lane on multiple reports of shots fired.
There police found Orlando Gay suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Police determined Gay was in a disorder which turned into a physical altercation.
They say he was shot multiple times during the altercation.
HCEMS responded and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he underwent surgery.
