Chattanooga Police use SWAT team to arrest carjacking suspects

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police have charged two suspects in the shotgun carjacking from last week.

A week ago, suspects took the car of a 21 year old woman at gunpoint on Holiday Hills Circle in Bonny Oaks.

In the process, 23 year old Fredrick Phinizey was shot in the face with shotgun pellets (non-life-threatening wound).

Police arrested Dominique Boyd and Tybresha Sexton Wednesday night in the 7700 block of Nautical Way.

They used the SWAT team to make the arrest “due to the nature of the charges.”

18 year old Boyd is charged with Attempted First Degree Murder, Carjacking, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Dangerous Felony.

20 year old Sexton faces charges of Aggravated Robbery (carjacking) & Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Dangerous Felony.
