Chattanooga Seafood Bash serves up a taste of the coast
CHATTANOGOA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Seafood lovers from all around the region flocked to downtown Chattanooga this weekend for the annual Seafood Bash, an event that brings the flavors of the coast right to the Scenic City.
This year, the event moved to Ross’s Landing after outgrowing Coolidge Park in just two years.
By request of the city, the festival took over the Chattanooga Green, drawing in over 100,000 visitors from Friday to Sunday.
Dozens of local and regional vendors set up shop, offering everything from classic crab legs and lobster rolls to Cajun favorites like shrimp gumbo and oysters on the half shell.
Live music filled the air as families, friends, and foodies explored the bustling rows of food trucks, tents, and handmade crafts.
The event also featured cooking demonstrations from professional chefs, giving attendees a chance to learn tips and tricks for preparing their own seafood feasts at home.
On top of the delicious food and attractions, the festival’s charity partner, Folds of Honor, provides support to military families and first responders.
Catherine Timmerman, a visitor and crab legs enthusiast, shared, “This is my first time coming to the Seafood Bash festival, and I would just highly recommend it to anyone. I had crab legs, and they were just amazing. It was a great experience, the community here is wonderful, and this Sunday is just one for the books.”
The Seafood Bash continues to grow each year, and organizers say they’re already planning even bigger things for next summer.
