Chattanooga State, ETSU Agreement Creates 4-Year Apprenticeship Pathway with BlueCross

CHATTANOOGA, TN.- Chattanooga State Community College and ETSU have collaborated to sign an articulation agreement.

This will allow students in the BlueHorizon registered apprenticeship program to continue studying at a four-year university.

BlueHorizon allows students to earn money while they gain a degree and valuable hands-on skills in the health care industry.

This program also lets students have the freedom to continue working while they are taking these classes.

“Today we sign an agreement that will enable the blue horizon students to complete a bachelor of applied science and professional development at East Tennessee State University and this program will enable the blue horizon professionals to keep working full-time learning beyond the classroom.” say. Dr. Rebecca Ashford, President of Chattanooga State.

Chattanooga State is excited to bring opportunities like this to their students.

“The BlueHorizon program was established to provide a direct pathway for students looking to accelerate their careers,” said Bradley Leon, executive director of the BlueHorizon program at BCBST. “We’re grateful to our partners at Chattanooga State and ETSU for giving these students a way to continue their education beyond an associate degree.”
